The gender approach has made that the programs of health ar guided not only considering the woman's reproductive aspect but attention should be paid to the chronic illenesses and their risk factors. We studied the relationship between climaterium and obesity as risk factors that make incidence en the genesis of the ischemic heart disease , to do that, we made a historical retospective cohort study with 203 women who attended the consultation of Cardiology at Faustino Pérez Hospital with precordialgia, those women wereselected by aleatory samplig. The variables werw operacionalized as dependent one, wich was the ergometric diagnoses test and the independent variable which were Arterial Hypertension, Diabetes Mellitus,Hypercolesterolemia, Overweight, and Somking habits The data were processed using the statiscal package S PSS10 and it was it was accepted as a significant value ,a value p < 0. 005Results ar discussed and compared with the domestic foreign literature and we concluded that the Arterial Hypertension took the first place as a cardiovascular risk factor not only for the overweigth but for the normal weigth women as well, that the greater positivity of the test was among the over weigth women and those had twice more positivity in the ergometry than those with a normal weight, that's why we recomended the creation of a model for the attention of female climaterium through multidisciplinary medical consultation.
