Validation and linguistic-cultural adaptation of the instrument Management Skills Questionnaire for health managers

Abstract

Introduction: Management skills are necessary in all organizations and even more so in the health sector, where a series of skills related to the processes that are managed are required.

Objective: To validate a self-perception questionnaire of management skills for the Cuban context.

Methods: A descriptive study was carried out with a quantitative approach in which documentary and bibliographic review was applied; validation and cultural adaptation and validation of the Management Skills Questionnaire were carried out.

Results: High reliability and trustworthiness were obtained from the Management Skills Questionnaire.

Conclusions: The Management Skills Questionnaire was considered validated for the Cuban context, by obtaining high reliability, through cultural adaptation and piloting with adequate validity and reliability indices.
