Abstract

We carried out cross-sectional descriptive research in the health area of the Teaching Polyclinic “Reynold García”, of Versalles, Matanzas, in the period January 1st-March 30, 2013, with the aim of identifying the kinds and manifestations of intrafamiliar violence in children and teenagers aged 5-16 years, who assisted the consultations of InfantoJuvenile Psychiatry and Psychology. To obtain the necessary information, a structured biosociopsychologic interview was applied to mothers, while a psychiatric exam was applied to every patient, and they applied the inquiry of intrafamiliar violence exposition. As the most important result, the research showed the considerable predominance of patients who are victims of intrafamiliar violence.
