The integrative vision of Jose Marti in several aspects of knowledge makes him one of the most exceptional personalities of the world. His intellectuality led him commenting about the process of health, disease and hygiene. This article pretends to evaluate the Apostle’s relation with Medicine as a science, and the transcendence and force of his texts for Cuban medicine, as expression of patriotic and ethical values.
