Abstract

We present the case, attended at the Teaching General Hospital Julio Trigo López, of a male patient, with ex-foliation syndrome in both eyes, who after a cataract surgery developed a facotoxic glaucoma, with a good clinical evolution. The cases presenting this kind of syndrome during the cataract surgery are likely to develop several complications as many transurgery as postsurgery, all on the basis of the zonular weakness presenting the same and other physiopathologic alterations characterizing this disease. In this case, the syndrome´s existence could be influenced in the development of the facotoxic glaucoma.
