Gender and poverty: two phenomena demanding a sight from the juridical psychology
Keywords:
gender, poverty, public policies, juridical psychologyAbstract
In the research, we made an analysis based on two inter-related aspects: advances and conceptual dilemmas that are present in the articulation of the studies of gender and poverty, and the appearance of challenges related with the formulation and application of public policies implemented to reduce their effects. In this sense we carried out a chronological review of the public policies implemented in Chile and Cuba in the last 25 years, with the aim of highlighting the aspects that are determinant for decreasing the indexes of feminine poverty. We also exposed the results of the scientific studies of the last two decades referred to poverty feminization in the region, and gathered the necessary data for making a contribution to the improvement of the juridical authors´ functions and their role of advisers in questions related to the matter, from the application of the Social Sciences methodology, specifically the juridical psychology.
