It was related aleatorily, a control for each classificated ischemic heart disease case, until 2000, and they were surveyed aimed at determining the behavior of these factors and identifying those more frequently associated to this syndrome. The more frequently associated illness was the hypertension with 85,2% in cases, and 72,1% in controls, and the higher association force, was with Diabetes Mellitus (OR 4,15 and P 0,003). The alcohol behaved as a protection factor (OR 0,27 and P 0,01).
