Pharmacological thrombolysis in acute myocardial infarct.Our experience.

Abstract

A prospective study has been carried out in the Intensive Care Unit at Matanzas "Dr.Mario Muñoz" Hospital where 261 patients met the requirements to be included in the study and 134 werw excluded. Those who werw included in the study pharmacologic thrombolysis applied with Cuban recumbinant streptokinase(fibrinolytic agent) at a 1.5 million doce of dissolved units into 100ml of one solution in one hour,associated to aspirin and atenolol, Lethality was analyzed and and quantified,following 30 adys after the acute myocardial infarct(AMI) plus the adverse reactions and percentage of thrombolytic efficacy. There was a 9,4% mortality rate in those patients who had been thrombolyzed,being the main exclusion cause the hospital arrival after 12 hours.Lethality between bath sexes behaved in a similar way with less mortality in those patients who had precocious thrombolysis.The acute inferior myocardial infarct was the most frequent one and arrhytmia the most frequent adverse event. We had thrombolytic efficacy in 59 patients,amceunting to 46,4% of all treated patients.
