Abstract

A descriptive research was done to know the behavior of the big surgery done in ambulatory patients and of short hospitalization in the General Surgery Service in the General Hospital Julio M.Aristegui Villamil from Cardenas,durong the period between way to november of 2002,for that it was created a consultation and it was design a model of clinic history where presented.The biggest proportion of the cases belong to group og ages between 30 and 49 years and the 32,1% were geriatric patients.They were growped by level of attention and the inguinal hernia was the most frecuent affection in level II and the uterine fibroma in level III.The 54,4% of the patients had risj factors.The local anesthesia was the most used for a 58;3%.The 6,8% of the operators has complications.One hundred of the patients werw followed by specialized surgery.
