Educative intervention in deforming habits in a Day Care Center Amores de la Patria .

An educative intervention project was done at the Day Care Center “Amores de la Patria ” , for that project a Mouth Health diagnosis was created. The dental examination in children of four, five and six years of life, determining as the main problem, the high level of incidence of buccal deforming habits, mainly provoked by the inadequate sanitary culture of their parents, the inefficiency of the health actions developed in this children and the scarce sensibility of the Day Care Center staff on the problems related to oral health. To counteract this problem, a sanitary educational program with effective communicating methods for parents was elaborated there were also created modern communicative techniques created for children and it was designed a Sensibilization Programs and Health Promotors with the teachersin these centers getting to obtain a 91.9 % of adequate buccal health in parents, and it was established qualifing programs for Health Promotors in infant institutions and modern techniques concerning communication with children, such as recordings properly adapted for this goal, stories, radio messages, didactic games, manufactured protectors and also it was created a logo which is present in all the preventive activities we carry out, fulfilling a decrease on the incidence of the buccal deforming habits in 61.2 % of the children.Downloads
