Human body, specially the face, has been treated in the most different forms of artistic expression, as it is the case of painting, sculpture and literature. An approach to the last ones may be extremely interesting, because of the learning and experiences accumulated in them. The objective of this term is identifying the works of universal literature dealing with aspects of the oral complex anatomical structures, offering passages that contribute to the formation of social values and having possibilities for the development of the historical and cultural component of the General Dentist.
