We present the case of a male patient, aged 83 years, who works as a professional driver, and was operated of severe left-eye palpebral ptosis. The correction was made using the Fox technique, fixing the upper eyelid to the frontal muscle with a 1 mm-wide silicone band. The good results of this corrective surgery were presented in the trans-surgery and post-surgery period, on the seventh day and at month. Satisfactory visual and esthetical results were shown. Adverse reaction to the silicone band was not reported. It is recommended to extend the use of this technique to all the services of the province, and also continuing its improvement in the service.
