Abstract

A retrospective study of the academic yiel in the 1st year of the medicine cancer at Matanzas Medical Science facultad is performed, in order to know the students general yield and that of the internal and external students ,as well as the assignments of greater difficulties to our students.The final mark of all the assignments till the ordinary test without including revaluation non extraordinary tests.without including revaluation non extraordinanary test.data were gathered in a sheet made to this effect and the hipótesis statistic test was applied for independent group proportions.It was obtained that there are no differences in the academic yield of external and internal students with regard to tose who passed and tose who failed,but when reviewing the quality of the mark,then there are significant differences in favor of the students are: Physiology Cellular and Molecular Biology and Anatomy in decreasing order.It is concluded that in five courses,3.3% receive a mark of 3 points,36.3% receive a mark of 4 points and 45.5% receive a mark of 5 points in the first year of the medical career.
