Abstract

This paper´s aim is to present a clinical case and the importance of the nursing interventions in a female transitional patient, aged 1 years and 9 months. She entered the Intensive Care Unit of the Provincial Pediatric Hospital of Matanzas, with a diagnosis of foreign body aspiration in the airways. The development of the intensive care nurses´ practical skills promotes the critical reasoning for the sake of giving qualitative care with a scientific approach striking on the improvement of the patients.
