Abstract

Different methods of Biopsy for the Diagnosis and other useful information about Breast Cancer are revised. A detailed discussion is carried out on Cyst Aspiration, fine needle aspiration, Core needle or trocars Biopsy, including stereotatic hook-wire localization. Open methods of Biopsy like incisional and excisional are also analyses. We expose the preparation of frozen sections, paraffin blocks and the study of Hormone receptors, the sentinel lymph node and others inmunohistochemical assays, molecular markers and genetic factors, all involved in he development of Breast Cancer. This information is aimed to improve the therapeutic judgment and management of the patients. The authors give a critical analysis based on their own experience and the revised international medical literature.
