We performed a study based in the cases of 71 patients treated in our orthopedic service, diagnosed of tibial fractures in the period January 2002- December 2006. We studied different variants reviewing the clinic histories and aiming to the objective of analyzing the behavior of the fracture of the tibia in our environment. We valued the results and arrived to some conclusions, among which the most relevant are the highest incidence in the ages of 5 to 10, the high frequency of the distal third and the big frequency of oblique fractures.Downloads
