Abstract

Vertigo is one of the main manifestations of the equilibrium system alterations, symptom provoking a great quantity of medical appointments in the Service of Otorhinolaryngology and other specialties. It is necessary to work on it because of it is an actual problem in Public Health. Vertigo can be, frequently, very incapacitating, and sometimes, it is a sign of a reserved prognosis disease. It is indispensable that every professional related with these cases were updated. For that reason, we present a review on the Vertiginous Syndrome, the form it appears, and its clinical characteristics, taking into account its etiologic classification as periferal and central. It is fundamental the usage of complementary tests, necessary to arrive to the positive diagnosis and to indicate the correct treatment, to guaranty the life quality of this patients The main objective of our work is to give an optima attention to the patients suffering this disease and to complement the post-grade studies of our doctors.
