Abstract

A study with the purpose to evaluate Surgical Acupunctural Analgesia in upper extremities surgery has been carried out. One hundsed patients who had their opper limbs surgically intervened ,werw studied and dividied in two groups: Group I to use Surgical Acupuntural Analgesia, Group II to use Brachial Plexus Blocking through axillary way. Patients in Group I were pre-medicated with Prometazine,using the Heart,(C-1) acupunctural formula and one in the neck lateral regiong to the c5-c6 level,adding local anesthetic and sedatives according to the need,Group II had been premedicated with Diazepam and Bupivacine as local anesthetic.We could note that all patients in Group I were able to be surgically intervened with simila complications as the ones in GroupII, due, specifically to disturbances in the Ischemic band we therefore conclude that Surgical Acupunctural Analgesia is an useful method for upper limb surgery.
