Abstract

Beginning January 1/1996 a prospective study was performed in pregnant women who gave birth until April 30 th /1999, enrolled family physician offices, from basic working teams#1 and 2 at Milanés Polyclinic and in whom risks of suffering from eclampsia were deleted. Sixty mg of Aspirin daily was given to pregnant women in basic working team #2 did not take aspirin and conformed the control or untreated group. A series of variables were compiled and studied, arriving to the conclusion that this drug showed are incidence reduction in women at preeclampsia risk, process severity was lower, there were no maternal nor fetal repercussion derived from etc,. usage and retarded intra-uterine growth plus low-weight at birth frequencies were minor.
