In the Provincial Ginecobstetric “Dr. Julio Alfonso Medina” Hospital of Matanzas a transversal descriptive study was performed on patients who had given birth here in 2001, from which we obtained a sample of 582 patients (8 with twin pregnancy) suffering from high blood pression (HBP), for 19,4 % of the total amount of the 3000 delivery was occurred. It was done aiming at determining the HBP incidence in our area, an according of type the HBP, evaluating the aftermaths in the fetus and the just born ones. The data was collected from the clinical records, which allowed us to tabulate the results, measured percentage changes (% changes) for its further analysis. The type of HBP most often seen was the Mild HBP II, with 224 patients (38,5%). The prematurely index was of 12,19% and a the low fetal weight was of 17,69%. There was a serious asphyxia one of a 0,8% with a Fetal Mortality Rate of 28,2 x 1000 birth and one Neonatal Mortality Rate of 7,6 x 1000 birth. We concluded that the severe type HBP rebounded the prematurely and the fetal weight significantly, rising the mortality perinatal.Downloads
