Abstract

In 1999 there was the centenary from the discovering and introduction of X-rays in medical practice. We shortly expose Roentgen's experiments, his findings and first conjectures, and also the first practical experiences in the Medicine field. We report in bold strokes the first steps of Radiology in Cuba , the first physicians who investigated and introduced it in Cuba , and the progressive evolution of Radiology in our country thanks to outstanding figures in this field.
