During the period form November 1995 to January 1999 a study on 22 patients operated in our Orthopaedics and Traumatology Services at Matanzas Provincial Hospital took place. Patients were carriers of different types of pseudoarthrosis according to Weber and Cash international classification. Male patients 72,2% and age groups between 30 and 40 years old, and severe injuries in associated soft sites predominated in the series. Clinical and radiological evolution was excellent. Ninety five percent of the cases consolidated in that which is considered a normal period of time. The use of the method reported a 94,5% satisfaction rate. We have this demonstrated that the Cuban Porous Biomaterials are highly effective as substitutes for bone grafts in the treatment of different types of Pseudoarthrosis.Downloads
