Cardiovascular illnesses constitute the first cause of mortality in developed countries, especially the izquemic cardiopathy, for strategies of intervention that lessen the cardiovascular morbid-mortality and better the quality of life should be promoted. Based on this we carried out a cardiovascular rehabilitation program. The general objective was to evaluate the cardiovascular rehabilitation program the Primary Attention, in Matanzas with patients who have suffered heart attack. A longitudinal, prospective study was made in Faustino Perez Hernandez Hospital from Matanzas in the period of January and December of 2005. The sample was constituted by 38 patients. A PE pre discharge was made to all of them, and this was compared with another one who was made three months after the beginning of the rehabilitation. Symptoms of palpitations and pre cordial hurts decreased and other like dyspnea disappeared. In spite of the significant increase of the maximal load job, the FC, the TAs and the Tad were similar in the three months. All the variables that evaluated the physical capacity showed excellent results. It is a conclusion that the cardiovascular rehabilitation program applied to these patients demonstrated favorable results, with even socioeconomics benefits, not only for the patient, but also to the society.Downloads
