Protocolization and care quality, an undelayable necessity

In the current work we expose the criteria of the authors on the importance of the medical acting protocols in the unstoppable spiral of the care quality. We also reviewed, in a practical way, the elements that are the diagnostic and therapeutic acting protocols in the health care institutions, and also the analysis of the process of making, applying and periodically evaluating them. We linked that with the necessity of giving a higher preventive-healing quality care as a consequence of its introduction. At the same time we bring procedures preserving the security and autonomy of the patients and the rationality in the usage of the resources. Both questions (care quality and resource saving) fulfill the requirements of pertinence demanded by the society. Another interesting aspect treated is the one related with the criteria unity for the action, based on the best updated scientific evidence, and incorporated to the theoretic and practical basis of that document making, without giving a chance to individual improvisation that could jeopardize the planned objectives.Downloads
