Aims and Scope
The Electronic Medical Journal is a specialized scientific publication designed for researchers, academics, students, and other social actors who are part of the professional sector or remain connected to fields related to health, both in Cuba, Latin America, and the rest of the world, to publish and share the results of their research and other documents related to their scientific work. It is published by the University of Medical Sciences of Matanzas in collaboration with Editorial Ciencias Médicas, Havana, and is registered under ISSN 1684-1824 and RNPS 1819.

Articles must comply with the established norms for the article types accepted by the journal, which are: research articles, brief communications, systematic review articles, opinion articles, case presentations, letters to the editor, editor’s letters, and editorials.
This open and pluralistic approach reflects the Electronic Medical Journal’s commitment to its international and multidisciplinary vocation, welcoming researchers, academics, students, and professionals from Cuba, Latin America, and other regions of the world who wish to disseminate research results, critical reflections, or experiences relevant to scientific and professional work in health.
