    The Electronic Medical Journal is open access, free of charge, and imposes no article processing or publication fees. Its content is available online to readers, researchers, and institutions worldwide, in fulfillment of the Cuban National Health System’s commitment to the democratization of scientific knowledge.
  2. Universality
    The journal publishes original and innovative health research without discrimination based on country of origin, institutional affiliation, ethnicity, gender, or social status. It welcomes contributions from Cuban, Latin American, and global authors, provided they comply with its editorial and thematic guidelines.
  3. Institutional Responsibility
    Funded by the Cuban State, the Electronic Medical Journal operates under the responsibility of the University of Medical Sciences of Matanzas and the Ministry of Public Health. Its Editorial Committee, appointed and endorsed by competent academic and health authorities, is responsible for ensuring the scientific, ethical, and editorial integrity of the publication.

    The journal is committed to excellence in disseminating health sciences knowledge.
