Abstract

We emphasize the most relevant facts that have influenced in the development of Microbiology as a science since its origins until now, referring personalities, historical course and posterior introduction of the contents in the different curricula of the Medicine studies since the foundation of the University of Havana until the times of the revolutionary government. We emphasize the importance of Medicine students in Cuba knowing these facts.
