A comparative study among 2nd and 3rd years of life children at the “Amiguitos Africanos” Day Nursery has been carried out taking into consideration precocious weaning, diarrheal diseaces, respiratory lesions and repercusión on nutricional condition. From a 61 children simple, 17 had been too early weaned resulting in 71.6%; 1 child did not nurse (1.6%) and 43 nursed until they were four months old (71.6%). From the 17 children who had been precociously weaned, 5 had diarrheal pictures (29.4%), from those who were adequately nursed , only 6 had diarrheal pictures (13.9%). One child had never been nursed and had diarrheal pictures plus asthma. From the children who had been precociously weaned, 6 had respiratory lesions (35.2%) and in those who had been nurseed, 10 had respiratory lesions amounting to 23.2%.With regard to nutricional condition, 8 children, who had been properly nursed are overweight, and another one is obese; 7 children who had been properly nursed are overweight and one had malnutritions by defect. We found out that in both groups, the most frequent nutricional alteration is overweight , being asthma the most frequent respiratory lesion.
