Ethics management in a teenager with AIDS

A case showing the theme of adolescence and moral values was presented. It deals with a teenager who suspected having AIDS and visited the consultation accompanied by his family. The health professionals’ and parents’ management was described, from a point of views where the ethic position could generate controversies. It was showed the necessity of training physicians in ethics and bioethics themes, for developing intervention strategies not only improving teenagers knowledge on sexual transmitted infections, but also parents and community knowledge.Downloads
