Abstract

The investigation offers the results of a descriptive study on the influence of the educational teaching process in the effciency formation,centered in Integral General Medicine as main discipline in Matanzas Medical Science Faculty according to the principal actor assessme nt of the educational process:student and professors.It was supported by the analysis of the main curriculum documents in the career and in the opinions that professors and students have on Integral Generla Medicine for which valoration was obtained from 192 students and 62 professors of different career years. Reference is made on the presence of Integral General Medicine as integrator nucleus in the Cuban physician formation,in the teaching process normative documents and in the methodological activities.It sets up the need of information to the students,of Integral General Medicine its way through the career in order to obtain a true formation,and an inclination twords the Primary Health Assitance.The results allowed us to draw the conclusion that a limited contribution of the teaching process towards the achievement of the Integral General Medicine exists as the discipline that leads the career investigative-assistnce -teaching process,which it is associated to an insufficient ethical professional formation.Recommmendations are given due to the importance of this aspect for the dismissed patient quality in order to attains an excellent health system.
