A retrospective study is carried out in 15 patients seen in our Orthopedic Services during the period of time between january 1995 and december 2000 with the diagnosis of bone tissue tumoral or pseudotumoral lesions.Osteocoral was used to refill the cavity substituting the bone graft. The most frequent site was the carpus short bones and periarticular predominant tarsus(53,3%).The most frequent histologic type were the bening tumour originated from cartilaginoid tissue(33,3%) and pseudotumoral cystic lesions(33,3%).The results obtained were excelent in these patients since no complication appeared that could have retarded the cicatrization and the articular functional evaluation of the limb.We verify the perfect inter-relation between the Osteocoral and bone tissue, founding no signs of rejection, but we did find a resolution in 100% of the cases without lesion relapse five years after the post-surgical evolution.Downloads
