Abstract

A revision relating the historical-social antecedents of countries with coasts in the Mediterranean sea is carried out,motivated by statistic revisions that show the low incidence in ischemic cardiopathy, as well as coronary and cerebrovascular risk factors.Current eating habits from the Mediterranean Cultures and the answer to its health value are evaluated.
