Abstract

New technological advances endodiascopy and the perfectionist of the surgery technique have extended the indications of the video-thoracoscope (CVT). This new modality allow to see, to accede and to act upon the intrathoraxe organs with the objective to avoid the conventional thoracotomy. An analytic prospective epidemiologic study is done with the purpose to evaluate the behavior of CTV in the pleuropulmonary, and digestive affections. Thirty one patients in which they applied this procedure were analysed. The lesions presented were: neumothorax, hemothorax, peptic ulcers, lung cancer. The fundamental objective of this intervention was therapeutic. The presuntive diagnostic and the surgery techniques are related, and the main complications are described.
