Abstract

Gallstones is a frequent pathology in our population. In the last five years the indication for surgical treatment in this affection has changed dramatically, because the asymptomatic gallstone, which is the most frequent, does not need treatment now. Furthermore “the biliary colic” is considered the principal symptom and not “dyspepsia” and other unspecific symptom which are not dependent of this condition. We did a revision about this topic and respective translation from the last edition textbooks in the main specialties in related to this importnat entity and we present a consequent summary from every one of them. about this theme.
