Abstract

With the achievement of this work we pretend to identify the frequent causes of thevertiginous syndrome in Faustino Pérez Hospital in Matanzas as well as to know the personal antecedent and otorhinolaryngology illness, determining the frequent ages of this syndrome. An specialized consultation was created where all the facts are taken in patterns that reflect the results as well as the audiometric and vestibular samples. It was demonstrated that the frequent causes were the benign paroxysmal giddiness and the vertebra basilar insufficiency, the predominant age is after 40 and generally has other pathology. This syndrome is very frequent in our hospital.
