Abstract

A prospective, descriptive, applied study of the longitudinal type,was done to patients who have been operated of hip fracture,in José R.López Tabranes hospital , with the general objective to determine the pre and post operatory state,as well as to identify the independents variables that felt into the extension of these stays.
We conclude that the independent variables that felt into the extension of the pre-surgery state were the personal pathologic antecedents and within then the arterial hypertension and the Diabetes Mellitus diseases, besides the black color of the skin homever,in this extension we also have the sex the period of time and the appearence of complications. We recommend that a multidisciplinary team,should be created made up of traumatology, clinics and, anesthesiology because by means of this the ancient patient has a bettter care.
