Abstract

An actual review about pneumonia associated to the Mechanic Ventilation,which is a frequent cause of nosocomial infection in the Intensive Care Units carried , deepening in its epidemiology,pathology and microbiology,besides of exposing relevant criteria about its diagnosis and new aspects of its antimicrobian therapeutic. The conclusions are that this is an important cause of mortality in these units, and that to begin a fast and satisfactory antibiotic treatment is of,great importance for the later evolution in these patients.
