The use of low power laser in otolaryngoly.

Our work is about a controlled therapeutic clinical assay,which allowed us to evaluate the low power laser efficiency at the Otolaryngology Department in Matanzas University Hospital Dr.Fautino Pérez.The universe includes 66 patients from november 2002 to november2003. The treatment with laser was applied to 33 patients and the established conventional treatment to the rest of them.the studied pathologic were: chronic pharingitis,laryngectomies,tinnitus rhinitis,chronic tonsilities.The results were satisfactory and of 33 patients,23 are reported baetter,9 in the same condition and just one has worsen.When doing the compative study ,we find that it behaves with litlle difference of the conventional treatment group.We shoul take into account that this is an innocuous,low priced treatment of easy acquisition for patients.No adverse reactions have been reported.Downloads
