The common expression used to name the infection characterized by the presence of bacteria in blood is bacteriemia. A prospective work in which we study the hemocultures indicated from march to october 2004 and in which our purpose was to know the percentage of positivity, to determine motive agents and to make clear the behaviour of the microbian resistance was carried out. In a period of eight months we made 376 hemocultures 50% of these were done to patients with nephrologic diseases 11.9% to patients in intermediate and intensive care units and 37.2% from other hospital wards, positiveness was 35.5%. The more isolated microorganism were BNF(31.8%), Staphilococcus negative coagulase(26.5%) and Enterobacter (21.2%). Concerning the susceptibility to the antimicrobials the microorganism gram + proved a high resistance to the penicillin(82.5%), oxacillin(70%) and the first and second generation of cephalosporind like cephazolin and cefuroxicepod 55%,no resistance was found to vancomycin.Gram germs were very resistant to cephazoline(88,8%) ampicillim salbactam (81,9%) and tetracicline(76,3%).Downloads
