Malignant gliomas: molecular biology and oncogenic details
Keywords:
malignat gliomas, molecular biology, oncogenesAbstract
The malignant gliomas biology is associated to the balance of the expression of the proteins controlling in a positive or negative way the cell cycle, vascular neo formation, proliferation, motility and the immune system recognition. The frequency of the genetic alterations that are present in GBM2 and GBM1 is different and also the age of the patients who present them. While GBM1 tend to appear at late ages, at around the age 60-70, GBM2 tend to appear at earlier ages, 40-50 years. There are molecular alterations at the level of the tumor suppressor genes, oncogenes, and DNA repair genes in the genesis of the glioblastoma.Downloads
