We present a case of a patient carrying a strange intraocular body. He was hammering an iron and felt that something fell in his eye. He presented a sharp decrease of the visual acuity. During the physical examination it was observed an entrance in cornea and a strange body in the eye. It was made a surgical treatment with the extraction of the strange body and a peripheral iridectomy. After a month evolution the patient recovered a 0,4 – 0,9 of visual acuity, satisfactorily evolving. The theme was reviewed and we recommend the extraction of every strange body entering the eye.Downloads
