Abstract

An educational investigation of historical kind was made at the Medical Sciences Faculty of Matanzas, on the topic of the development of High Medical Education in the primary health care in our province. The teaching programs of the primary health care students, in pre and postgraduate studies and the normative documents of the medical teaching and care were reviewed and managers were interviewed. The improvement of the human resources of the health care system was demonstrated according to the universal dialectic laws. The contribution of the Medical University to the quality of the services in the Health Care System was demonstrated too, allowing graduates to fulfil their social duties in the country as well as abroad, although it is recommended its improvement.
