Abstract

The main objective of the glaucoma treatment is to avoid the progression of the optic glaucomatous neuropathy. The pharmacologic treatment is basically aimed to the diminishing of the production of the aqueous humor in the ciliary epithelium, the increase of the evacuation of the aqueous humor through the uveoscleral via or the increase of the evacuation of the aqueous humor through the trabecular via. Glaucoma is among the first causes of blindness in the world. In this work we present the most recommended drugs for the primary open angle glaucoma.
