In our country, at present, public health professionals work on the communitarian psychiatry proyect. The fourth portion of all patients that go to the family physician suffer of a significant psychiatric condition, and the mayority are seen due to depression which require a specialized psychotherapeutic treatment. We carried out a randomized and controller clinical trial that took place in the Communitary Center of Health Mental (CCHM) in Matanzas “Milanes” Policlinic since january 2000 to june 2003. Where two psychotherapy techniques were compared. Fifteen patients were included in the control group as well as fifteen patients in the experimental groups. In the first ones the psychotherapy technique was applied based in the word effect; and in the second one, the Brief Intensive and Dynamic Psychotheraphy was used with a six month maximum duration of technique application. In order to appraise the patient follow up a self applied questionaire was used, that with the goal to weekly know how the patient evaluated his or her own follow up, as well as the recording, previous patient authorization of all therapies from both groups which allowed an immediate analysis of the working group and the weekly appraisal of all symptoms dicappearance, maintenance or applarance of new other ones which was complemented with the weekly guide of clinical symptom evaluation and lastly, an inquiry with the expression of main as well as secondary depression variables that were applied by the therapist himself at one, two or three years after the technique had been instituted. For results evaluation a criteria average was chosen from a clinical psychologist trained for the technique, who does not know to what patients was one or another technique indicated (double blind), the psychotherapist criteria, and the patient subjective opinion. The Bief Intensive Dynamic Psychotherapy technique achieved the best results as soon as possible. The psychotherapy technique based on the word effects as well as the Brief Intensive Dynamic Psycotherapy proved to be effective in the treatment on patients with dysthymia. The most effective one was the unconsciouns umblockade because of its healing character and the results. Kept years after the treatment was indicated.Downloads
