Abstract

A descriptive and retrospective study is done in the Humberto Alvarez¨s Home in Cardenas , with old men in a period between April/04---April/05, with the objective to identify the most frequent dermatological affections as well as to relate the risk factors. In 102 ancients, 40 were consulted with dermatological affections, being significative 13 patients who were between 81-90 years old, and 35 were males, 87.5 . The most frequent affections were: Escharotic 10 patients, 25%, Dermatitis of external cause, 9,2.5% and pyodermatitis 6, 1.5 . The risk factors were: bad conditions, heaping, laundry broken, lack of water and Diabetis.
