The HIV/AIDS epidemic is the main epidemic that affected the humankind in the XX century, and in this century it keeps on being a preoccupation for leaders and health authorities at different instances for the magnitudes it is acquiring and its social and economic repercussions in the future. In our country, the situation is not as crude as in other countries but it is necessary to make a wide focused analysis where this problem would be seen from other sides, taking into account not only the epidemiologic behavior of the disease and its risk factors, but the participation of the community sectors in the fights against the epidemic and its economic and social repercussion. It will be useful to develop strategies allowing to stop the course of the pandemic.Downloads
