Abstract

Alcoholism, a licit drug, as old as the history of humankind, is nowadays a serious health and social problem around the world. We carried out an investigative work using the methods of comparative study and reading documents. The objectives were to elucidate the etiology and consequences of the alcoholism, its social conditionings and the development of the Medicine as a science that studies the problem and ethically characterizes how it can be managed.
