Abstract

As part of this work we made a review of the facts contributing to the development of value formation in the university students, beginning with the results of the study of doctor-patient communication as part of the ethicoprofessional formation of the medicine students at the Medical Sciences Faculty of Matanzas, evidencing the limited influence of the teaching process on this purpose. A solid professional formation to achieve high human and ethic values implies a systematic work throughout the studies and through the different forms of the teaching-educative work, making possible the development of abilities, habits, feelings and values, from the cognitive, affective and behavioral points of view. Methodological activities carried out in the teaching collectives of the faculty have been lacked of a systemic approach in facts that can have some bearing on the formation of the Medical Sciences students values and the priority of some facts in the elaboration of the educative work's strategies for the formation of ethic values in High Medical Education.
