Abstract

As every history, nursery had not left written testimonies or documentation backing its evolution. Its sources had been tradition, oral stories and memories from the past. In many works, we find a detailed description of every day's life, of social and cultural events, and in all of them we can find the action of taking care. The role of the woman in the familiar life, led by maternal instinct, tenderness and protection feelings, is present in several works. The art is more than an abstract concept; it requires senses and perception to see behind an image or an object; it also needs emotions to discover everything that appears to be hidden. The art history is linked to a society culture and the philosophy of the sciences is worked out from it. This fact reflects in nursery as a profession, a discipline and a science in its combination with the art.
