Abstract

We make a short review on the history of pediatrics, its beginnings as a science, particularizing on the most relevant aspects of the specialty in Cuba and on the life of the most important and eminent Cuban pediatrician Angel Arturo Aballí Arellano, father of Cuban Pediatrics.
